Rescue 4 is a 2005 Pierce Lance Heavy Rescue Unit powered by a 515 HP Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine and an Allison EVS 4000 automatic transmission. The extended cab seats eight firefighters and features a 22-inch raised roof, TAK-4 Independent Suspension, 360 Degree Roll Protection, and integrated EMS compartments. The 23.5-foot tandem axle body carries HURST tools, air and trench rescue equipment, confined space gear, and water/rope rescue supplies. The cab includes a command workstation, while the exterior features a 30kW generator, light tower, multiple reels (HURST, breathing air, electrical), a cascade system, booster pump, and winches (12,000 lb. rear, 9,000 lb. portable). Custom paint, graphics, and Whelen Super LED warning lights complete the unit.
