Members Train on BLS Skills and 12-Lead ECG Operations

Share Post:

Members gathered last night for a hands-on training session focused on strengthening Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, with a particular emphasis on understanding and performing 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs).

Throughout the evening, members reviewed proper electrode placement, practiced patient assessment techniques, and worked through the process of obtaining and interpreting a 12-lead ECG in a simulated patient care environment. Training sessions like this help ensure crews are prepared to quickly identify cardiac emergencies and deliver effective prehospital care when it matters most.

Continued hands-on training plays a vital role in maintaining readiness and building the teamwork needed during emergency responses. By regularly practicing these lifesaving skills, members remain well-prepared to serve and protect the community.

A special thank you goes out to Bryce Ervin, one of the department’s newest probationary members, for stepping up and serving as the patient during the training. His willingness to help made the evening’s training both productive and engaging.

Great teamwork all around as members continue to sharpen their skills and support one another in training.
