Abingdon Fire Company is hosting American Heart Association (AHA) certification courses open to the public. These hands-on classes are ideal for community members, caregivers, coaches, and anyone looking to gain or renew lifesaving skills.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR & AED
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
This course includes:
- Adult, child, and infant CPR
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
Participants will receive their AHA certification card/certificate at the end of class.
AHA Heartsaver First Aid
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Covers essential first aid skills for responding to common emergencies.
Certification Details
- Each certification is valid for 2 years
- Courses may be taken individually or together
Fees
- $30 per course
- $60 for both CPR/BLS and First Aid
- Payment: Cash (preferred) or Check
