Open Houses are enjoyed by All
Abingdon Fire Company, Edgewood Station and the Abingdon Station had open houses in September and October 2011, for Fire Prevention Awareness. Both were very successful with many vendors participating; for example: "Hector the Fire Prevention Safety Clown," Hazmat vehicles, APG Fire Safety trailer, Emergency Operations, The Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit, Rescue and K-9 dogs, BGE demo, and many more fire prevention units.
We had some community businesses help us throughout the day. Our company showed off with a stove fire and how to prevent one, and a car extrication.
The community came out and supported us tremendously at both open houses. For that, we thank the community for helping us make our company shine at what we do besides putting out fires and providing medical care to keep our community safe.
Thank You !!
