Elizabeth Roberts Wins the top Charlie Riley Scholarship Award
Elizabeth captured the top award at the annual Charlie Riley Scholarship Awards Banquet held November 9th receiving a twenty five hundred dollar scholarship to be used toward her continuing education. Elizabeth competed for the award along with nominees from each of the fire and EMS companies of Harford County and was selected by the awards committee who evaluated the nominees for their service to their neighbors through community service, extracurricular activities and Leadership. Elizabeth’s resume was quite impressive as were all the nominees and reads as follows:
“Elizabeth has completed her certification in EMT-B, Firefighter 1, and Hazmat operations, She serves as an EMT-B County preceptor and on the Abingdon new member committee. Elizabeth has received an EMT Top 20 Responder award at Abingdon for the past three years. She has received an Abingdon Fire Company Scholarship for the last three years also.
Elizabeth is the Director of Social Enrichment for the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and has volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol for the last seven years. She has earned numerous awards as a Cadet Colonel and is a Falcon Flight graduate and has served as a Cadet Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Canada”.
