While emergency responders tried to stay warm during the cold weather, the continuous stream of emergency calls for service provided little down time for the volunteers of AFC and surrounding companies. Scrap Metal Thieves Ignite Fire In Vacant Home

On Thursday February 5th at approximately 1:18pm, the Harford County 9-1-1 Communications Center began receiving multiple calls for a structure fire in the 3300 block of Emmorton Road (4-10 Box). Abingdon Fire Company Engines 411 and 414 arrived to find a well-involved vacant dwelling being fueled by a leaking heating oil tank. On Thursday January 22nd at approximately 6:15am, AFC responded to assist the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company with a reported dwelling fire in the 1900 block of Eloise Lane in Edgewood. JMVFC arrived on-scene of a middle-of-the-group townhome with heavy fire showing from side alpha.
